We don’t expect eloquence from fools, nor do we expect lies from our leaders. Break my heart for what breaks yours and help me to see clearly all opportunities to speak. How are you doing? When was the last time you shared the simple, but life changing message of the cross? Stop letting the Devil keep you down.you are telling God’s story. We need only tell them in our all to human voice how God made them, loves them, sent His son Jesus to die in their place so he could have a relationship with them forever and ever and ever. “Lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power,” we must tell them about our Jesus. ![]() He doesn’t even need us to find that perfectly entertaining YouTube video that will mesmerize the youth group. He does not require that we have a super smart looking PowerPoint Presentation that amazes our Bible study group. ![]() He does not ask us to have all the answers. How many times have I been scared quiet for fear of sounding stupid or like a broken record?! How many times have I disappointed my Father in Heaven by not speaking the words He gave me because I know I am not a gifted or even adequate speaker?! ![]() How many times has he kept me from ministry with the reminder of my own lack of eloquent wisdom?! In both my blogging here and in my ministry at church I am often kept from speaking and sharing because I fear I have nothing to say, or that I have been given to say isn’t clever enough. My teaching message speech and preaching were not with words of human wisdom that persuade or entice people but with proof of the power that the Spirit gives or proof powerfully revealed by the Spirit or demonstrations of the Spirit and of power. For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. ![]()
